We enjoyed the trip immensely and it was a memorable first visit for most of us, including my wife and I. You are truly an experienced and knowledgeable bird guide who helped us find many bird species to photograph. Apart from your knowledge as a guide, you are also helpful, caring and kind.

On behalf of our group (which consisted of 4 from Hong Kong, 2 from United States and 2 from Singapore), we would like to express our appreciation and thanks for the great service you rendered to us during our recent birding trip in Costa Rica.

All of us feel very grateful when you showed your love and care towards one of the members (she is 75 years old) in our group when she had a fall and injured her head in her hotel room (on the 4 th day of our 15-day trip). You went the extra mile to accompany her to the hospital till the next morning to ensure that she received all the necessary medical help. You even volunteered to stay behind to accompany her and asked your driver to lead the rest of the members for our birding activities the next day. For the rest of our trip, you continued to give special attention to her to ensure that she was well. We are very thankful to have you leading us in this birding trip. We will definitely recommend you to our friends if they intend to visit Costa Rica.

From Taiwan June 2018

In June 2018, me and my wife decided to visit the world renowned birding destination, Costa Rica for a two weeks photography holidays. Since we were from Taiwan, we had no clue at all about how to select a qualified bird guide from this country. Luckily one of my birding friends from Vietnam introduced Freddy to me and I just trusted his recommendation.

Then, started from his picking up from the airport, through rainforest, mountain trails, national parks or seasides, Freddy not only took good care of us, but also showing his diverse knowledge about fauna and flora that helped us a lot easier to enjoy and photograph nice pics.

After two weeks journey, we were absolutely satisfied with the fabulous service from Freddy and we have became good friends since then.

Freddy is a Costa Rican but he speaks perfect English. Also he has got profound knowledge and connection to local bird guides that helped to acquire prompt information about birds in order not to waste our precious time there.

We (a group of 7 wildlife photographers from Canada) had an incredible tour with Freddy Madrigal in Costa Rica. He is an amazing bird guide with expert knowledge in the wildlife and the eco-systems of the region. The tour schedule was extremely well planned and organized. We were able to continue photographing birds even on rainy days. We were set out to do bird photography, not bird watching. Freddy knows our needs well and guided us to the best possible locations, including private places, for our purpose. Over 100 species were photographed. It was an unforgettable experience.
